根据较近对593个制造商的调查，IDC发现大多数制造型企业使用2个以上的云端应用。IDC预测制造型企业将继续快速增加云应用。如果这样，系统应用集成点就会增加。一些本地部署的集成方案与云端应用发生冲突，应该怎么办？
杨戈，梯升资讯副总裁，Roundview Technologies创始人，从事集成项目工作二十多年。2012年Roundview Technologies成为QAD的服务合作伙伴。近来他的团队成功应用Boomi云整合方案，连同QAD Q-Xtend, 集成云应用与云应用以及云应用与本地部署应用系统。 Boomi有两个版本， 一个叫QAD Boomi， 用于其它应用到QAD系统的集成；另一种，Dell Boomi，用于任何应用系统之间的集成，不论在云端还是在本地部署。
在较近的QAD项目中，他成功实施了很多集成案例。“每个需要集成的应用都不一样。”杨戈解释说。“一家公司使用Boomi来集成第三方物流，另一家需要集成EDI，还有的集成到到车间应用或者MES或者PLM。” Boomi本身带有预制连接器，建一个新的也不难。
杨戈忠告：“千万不要忽视系统集成。你不能只依赖你自己开发的集成，甚至手工方式。现在已经有了像Boomi这样的云端解决方案 ，提供100%的正常运行时间和可扩展性。”
Boomi为用户提供一个名为Atomsphere的程序整合平台，可以通过在云端程序和本地程序之间交换数据来帮助客户降低整合程序的成本和复杂性。你甚至不需要使用设备、软件或编写代码。目前Boomi已被DELL收购。
IDC recently surveyed 593 manufacturers and found that most used two or more cloud apps. IDC predicts that manufacturers will continue rapidly adding cloud apps. As they do, the number of integration points will increase. Some on premise integration solutions do not work well with cloud apps. What to do?
Gary Yang,Vice President of TSnT, and founder of Roundview Technologies has worked on QAD integration projects for over 20 years and became a QAD Service Parrtner in 2012. Today he uses a cloud integration solution called Boomi, in conjunction with QAD Q-Xtend, to connect cloud apps to other cloud apps and to on premise apps. There are two versions of Boomi for QAD customers. One, called QAD Boomi, connects other apps strictly to QAD solutions. The other, Dell Boomi, supports connecting all kinds of applications, in the cloud and on premise.
“There are three areas of concern in an integration project,” said Gary. “The first is robustness. You want high SLAs and no dropped transactions. Visibility is the second area. You want the ability to review the status of each message. Visibility helps you determine the root cause of any exception. Finally, you want the ability to quickly resolve issues. Boomi addresses all three.” Gary saw the need for solutions like Boomi grow in 2014. He therefore attained Boomi certification.
He reports a long list of integration examples in recent QAD projects. “The apps needing integration are different for everyone,” Gary explained. “One company uses Boomi to connect to 3PLs. Another to EDI. Others to shop floor or MES or PLM.” Many pre-built Boomi connectors are available, but it is easy to build new ones too.
Gary offered this advice: “Don’t overlook integration. You don’t want to depend on your own custom integration or manual workarounds. There are now cloud-based solutions like Boomi that offer nearly 100% uptime and scalability.”
